It has been a decent 11 years since my last time in Boston and my memories of Debbie’s place had faded a bit. Luckily, her and Joe being such great hosts, I felt home immediately and had an awesome weekend! On the first two days I spent my time exploring the city, by taking a trip with the Duck Tours (www.bostonducktours.com); something I can only recommend to anyone coming to the city! In the evening we enjoyed great Sushi in one of Deb’s favorite restaurants (yes… I was impressed by them and the staff huging each othe ron entry… even after 2 years going two the same Sushi store twice per week I didn’t hug the chef… so they really do go often
).
Apart of the Duck Tours, I took the Freedom Trail on my second day. Also very recommendable, thanks to the weather and the season I wasn’t even bothered by any other tourist out there (cold… rainy… windy…). Just my kind of sightseeing. Sunday brought the big special: the egg-cracking tournament. An entry on a family trophy for the person “surviving” a battle of smashing cooked eggs together. Whoever has an unbroken egg at the end, wins. I didn’t. But I will try again!!!
